Introduction
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) jointly established the "Agriculture, Commerce and Industry Collaborative Research Council Plant Factory Working Group" (Chairman: Masamoto TAKATSUJI) in January 2009. The working group published a progress report in April.
Shortly thereafter, an appropriation for plant factories was made from the supplementary budget and the support of the two ministries is expected over the next fiscal year and beyond.
As can be seen above, significant expectations from the public and private sectors have been raised for plant factories to stably provide high value-added crops.
Plant Factory Development Inc.
is a company that cooperates with the Agriculture, Commerce and Industry Expert Committee on Plant Factories of the Social Development Research Center, which is administered by METI and is serving to promote and commercialize plant factories.
We provide assistance in "designing, construction and marketing" during the commercialization phase of plant factories and the establishment of business.
